Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how ESA Growth Partners collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information in connection with this website. ESA Growth Partners is the controller of the personal information described below and is located in St. Paul, Minnesota, United States.
Information collected automatically
This site is hosted by Squarespace. When a page is requested, Squarespace records technical information generated by that request, including IP address, browser type, device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request.
Squarespace places cookies on a visitor's browser. Strictly necessary cookies support core site functions, including protection against cross-site request forgery. Analytics cookies, identified as ss_cid, ss_cpvisit, ss_cvisit, ss_cvr, and ss_cvt, record unique visitors and sessions and persist for periods of up to two years. A cookie banner is presented on arrival, through which a visitor may accept or manage these cookies.
Analytics data is reviewed only in aggregate, to determine which pages are read and which sources refer readers. It is not used to identify individual visitors, and no visitor profiles are created.
Information provided by the visitor
Two features of this site collect information supplied directly by a visitor.
Scheduling. The Contact page embeds a Calendly scheduler. A visitor who books a call provides a name and an email address, and Calendly records the selected time and the visitor's time zone. This information is transmitted to Calendly and made available to ESA Growth Partners.
Correspondence. A visitor who writes to cailin@esagrowth.com transmits that message, and any personal information contained in it, to a mailbox hosted on Google Workspace.
Purposes
Personal information collected through this site is used to respond to inquiries and to arrange and conduct calls; to maintain a record of correspondence and engagements; to send information about the practice and its published analysis; to create audiences on advertising platforms so that advertisements for the practice may be shown to those audiences; to understand in aggregate how the site is read; and to operate and secure the site.
Personal information collected through this site is not used for automated decision-making.
Marketing communications and advertising
An email address provided to ESA Growth Partners, whether through the scheduler or by correspondence, may be used to send information about the practice and its published analysis. Every such message identifies ESA Growth Partners, carries a postal address, and contains a means of unsubscribing. An unsubscribe request ends those messages and is honored within ten business days.
An email address provided to ESA Growth Partners may also be disclosed to advertising platforms, including Meta and LinkedIn, for the purpose of creating an audience to which advertisements for the practice may be shown. Those platforms receive the address in hashed form and are permitted to use it only to match against their own records and to build that audience.
A request to be excluded from marketing messages, from advertising audiences, or from both may be sent to cailin@esagrowth.com at any time, and an address so excluded is not used for either purpose again.
Service providers
Squarespace hosts this site and provides its analytics; Calendly provides scheduling; Google provides electronic mail. Each processes personal information on behalf of ESA Growth Partners, only to provide its service, and each publishes its own privacy notice. Advertising platforms receive contact information for the purpose described above. No other party receives personal information collected through this site, except where disclosure is required by law.
Sale and sharing
ESA Growth Partners does not sell personal information, and does not trade, rent, or otherwise make contact information available to third parties for those parties' own marketing.
ESA Growth Partners does disclose contact information to advertising platforms in order to show advertisements for the practice, as described above. Under some privacy statutes, this disclosure is classified as sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. Anyone who would rather not be included may say so at the address above.
Retention
Correspondence and booking records are retained as a business record and are not deleted on a fixed schedule. Analytics records are retained for the cookie periods stated above. Personal information is deleted on request, as described below.
Requests concerning personal information
A visitor may request access to the personal information ESA Growth Partners holds about that visitor, correction of that information, or its deletion. Requests should be sent to cailin@esagrowth.com and are answered within thirty days.
Children
This site offers professional services to businesses and is not directed to children. ESA Growth Partners does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
Security
Personal information collected through this site is held within the systems of the service providers named above, under the access controls those services provide. No method of transmission over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is entirely secure.
Changes to this policy
This policy is reviewed periodically and may be revised. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
